Who is entitled to a Kita place?
Every child is entitled to a half-day place of at least five hours a day or 25 hours a week. Those entitled to benefits have the right to choose between the various day care facilities at their place of habitual residence or at another location within the framework of free capacities.
The aim of childcare should be to promote the development of children in day care facilities and day care centers into independent and socially competent personalities. The overall development of the children is to be promoted in an age-appropriate manner and the physical, mental and spiritual development of the child is to be stimulated and disadvantages compensated for through general educational assistance and educational offers. In this way, the day care facilities complement and support the upbringing in the family and enable the children to have experiences beyond the family framework.
