Basic certificate
The Otto von Guericke University has received the basic certificate within the scope of the audit family-friendly university of the Hertie Foundation. We were able to successfully undergo this audit thanks to the support and commitment of the rector of our university Prof. Pollmann, the staff council, the project manager Dr. Kirbs (personal assistant to the rector), the head of the personnel department Ms. Matthies and the equal opportunity officer Dr. Adam as well as the financial support from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
This basic certificate was awarded to us based on the situation at our university and our commitments to improve family friendliness. The tasks were laid down in a target agreement with the Initiative Beruf und Familie of the Hertie Foundation, which must be fulfilled within a period of three years in order to successfully defend and permanently retain the certificate.
