Family pass
The family pass can be applied for by students with educational responsibilities. It contains all the regulations listed below
Reconciling studies and family responsibilities is a constant challenge for mothers and fathers. The OVGU has made some organizational arrangements that support studying with a family. Basically, we advise all students with family responsibilities to apply for the family pass. It contains important regulations regarding studies, internships and exams. Further explanations can be found in the individual FAQ entries.
The family pass is intended to offer students with child-rearing responsibilities organizational assistance in order to be able to successfully manage their studies. Upon presentation of the family passport, justified deviations from the standard study program/standard study behavior can be agreed upon.
The following arrangements can be made upon presentation of the family pass:
- Registration for courses and thus reliable planning of studies.
- Modification of the performance records for courses
- Individual part-time studies
- Internships
- Entitlement to a semester off
- Acceptance of examination results
- The issuance of a parking permit
- The purchase of a "child's meal

The family pass can be issued to students with family responsibilities at the Campus Service Center. The information booklet on the family pass as well as the corresponding application are available in the family office and from all decentralized family officers or can be downloaded here.
