Gender Recruiting
Together for more equal opportunities, diversity and excellence
Gender Recruiting at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg strengthens fair and forward-looking recruitment structures in order to sustainably increase the proportion of women at all academic career stages. The focus lies on a gender-fair recruiting strategy, reducing barriers in recruitment processes and raising awareness of gender-specific differences in application behaviour.
Building on existing initiatives that promote gender equality and diversity, Gender Recruiting contributes to further developing fair and diversity-oriented framework conditions and to anchoring gender justice as an integral part of an innovative university culture.
Since 01 June 2025, Gender Recruiting has been established at OVGU as part of the statewide project FEM POWER II.
