Luise Zenker
Born in Magdeburg, she already found access to art in elementary school through anime and mangas and developed this style for herself by attending a youth art school. After a long break, she rediscovered her passion for painting in 2020 and found herself in a new style. To give expression to her works, she works with acrylic paints, brushes and palette knives and accents with markers. In doing so, she is influenced by people in her environment and media that embody strong statements for her. |
What do you draw inspiration from?
"From people in my environment or in the media, which I personally find beautiful and which partly embody strong statements. With the colors and techniques, however, I proceed very intuitively."
Why did you apply for the exhibition?
"I mostly paint women who radiate strength for me because they experience discrimination or are met with hatred due to their gender or other reasons. When I paint, I have the desire to capture as many facets of being a woman as possible."
